At least 1 in 10 Australians have a lung disease.
14% of all deaths in Australia are caused by lung disease, including COPD, asthma, bronchiectasis, lung cancer, influenza and pneumonia.
Lung Foundation Australia is the only national charity dedicated to supporting anyone with a lung disease. We’re the national first point-of-call for patients, their families, carers, health professionals and the general community.
Our vision is to ensure lung health is a priority for all in Australia. We do this by:
• Promoting the importance of lung health
• Promoting early diagnosis of lung disease
• Supporting those with lung disease and their carers
• Promoting equitable access to evidence-based care
• Funding quality research
