This year I decided to acheive a huge goal of mine and tick something off the bucket list - RUNNING A MARATHON!

After having my beautiful daughter Isabelle just over 2 years ago I wanted to be fit again. Some people would think that doing a marathon is pretty extreme but it's acheiveable. Isabelle is my motivation, I want show her that you can do anything you want to in life if you truly believe in yourself and have the right people to support you.

So this September, I’m going to be sweating it out and doing my best to complete a gruelling course over the Harbour Bridge, around Sydney's CBD and finishing at the Opera House steps...I am excited and nervous all at the same time. Training begun back in May, I'm determined and have already come so far.

I have decided this year to raise money for Cure Cancer Australia with the support of the Can Too Foundation. Can Too transforms lives through fun, fitness, friends and fundraising. They provide coaching to beginners and experienced people as part of a team to help you achieve your fitness goals, i.e. running a marathon.

In return for the training and support I will receive, I have pledged to help raise valuable funds for Cure Cancer. Those funds go directly towards brilliant, innovative cancer researchers who are constantly searching and trying to develop something that everyone in this world wants - A CURE FOR CANCER! Raising funds and supporting a foundation that is constantly searching for a cure is a fantastic cause to get behind. Cancer is such a horrible disease and it's sad to think how many lives it affects. 

I am honoured to be a part of this amazing race and helping a great cause, and I’d really appreciate your support for my journey - anything that you can donate would be a huge help!

There is a stretch goal in all of us and with a desire we all can do anything we set out to do. We just need to take that first step to make it possible!!
