Black Dog Battle
Story
I've been battling depression for as long as I can remember... and it's nothing short of that. A battle. Day in and day out. For a long time I didn't know what was wrong with me and would do everything i could to make my life incredibly difficult.
But I'm not the only one.
So this September, I’m going to be sweating it out and doing my best to complete the Sydney Running Festival's 9km run for the Black Dog Institute... I know it's not the longest of distances, but it is the first time I'll be taking part in such an event since breaking my back 3 and a half years ago. And hence for me, it's quite the challenge.
I initially set a modest fundraising target of $1,000, but in just a few hours that was reached. I've since revised that figure and I now want to achieve something I never thought would be possible - raise $5,000. I'm hoping I can get as much continued support from everyone I know in a bid to help others continue their battle with the right support behind them, with thanks to incredible organisations like Black Dog.
