Cancer Sux!

Story

CANCER SUX! 

 

We did it!!

I did the running, but you, my friends and family, have helped fundraise more than $2500 for Cure Cancer Australia. That's more than triple my original goal. Thank you!!!

 

I have experienced cancer take two people I love. My fiancé when he was 22 and my dear mother in law less than a year ago.

 

Silas was young and fit the last person in the world you would imagine getting sick. Mary was vibrant, active and such a giving and loving lady. They were both exceptional people in so many ways and I know that many of you who are reading this knew them and can vouch for that! 22 is too young. Actually ANY age is too young! 

 

Since then I have witnessed too many people both close to me and from a distance deal with this horrible disease. It's life changing. For the person on the cancer journey as well as their family and friends. If you've experienced this, you understand. If you haven't, I hope you never do.

 

If raising money for Cure Cancer Australia can help to prevent just one person watching someone they love die then it's worth doing a thousand runs. 

 

There are some pretty amazing new treatments being discovered due to the tireless work of researchers. Lives ARE being saved and when that life is YOUR special person, that's EVERYTHING.
