Bridge Runs the Bridge Run 2016
Story
For the third year in a Row, the Bridge Housing Harriers don their racing shoes to take part in the Sydney Harbour Bridge Run. We are excited that 20 of our staff members, with a range of abilities and fitness levels have registered to walk, jog and run the challenging 9km course and are looking forward to the challenge (and a nice cup of tea afterwards!).
We appreciate and value your support and sponsorship for the charities and organisations we support through the Bridge Run. This year we have decided to raise money for White Ribbon Australia, White Ribbon is the world’s largest movement of men and boys working to end men’s violence against women and girls, promote gender equality, healthy relationships and a new vision of masculinity. http://www.whiteribbon.org.au/about
Bridge Housing provides affordable housing in the Sydney metropolitan area for a range of single people and households in housing need. We manage a number of housing programs assisting disadvantaged people to secure and maintain good quality accommodation, often in partnership with our support agencies who work with us to sustain tenancies for our most vulnerable clients, and build communities where we operate. https://www.bridgehousing.org.au/

White Ribbon Australia
White Ribbon Australia is a unique male-led primary prevention organisation that works to stop violence against women. All forms of violence are unacceptable. White Ribbon is working to prevent the most common and pervasive form of male violence – that towards women. White Ribbon believes the prevention of violence against women will change society for the better.
White Ribbon believes in the capacity of the individual to change and to encourage change in others. It believes that our generation can and must work towards stopping violence against women so that all women can live in safety, free from violence and abuse.
Through an annual awareness campaign and primary prevention initiatives, White Ribbon works to change the attitudes and behaviours that lead to violence against women.
