Team Gemma
Story
This September Team Gemma are taking part in the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival 2016 and helping to raise much needed funds for charity. It is a spectacular course which takes us over the Harbour Bridge, around Sydney's CBD and finishing at the Opera House steps.
On Tuesday, 8 March 2016 our lives changed forever. At 37 weeks and 2 days gestation we were informed that our baby had no heartbeat. Our beautiful daughter, Gemma Violet Tharme, was stillborn that evening. There are no words to describe how it feels to lose a child and we will miss her every second of every day for the rest of our lives. We spent 18.5 hours with our precious angel before saying our goodbyes. When it came time to leave the hospital our midwives gave us a bear, donated by another bereaved family, to provide comfort as we left the hospital with empty arms and to show us that we are not alone.
In memory of our Gemma, we have formed 'Team Gemma'. Please help us to raise money for Bears Of Hope. Please donate or join our team (either to walk or run).
Thank you for your support and helping to make a difference!
With hope,
Erryn and Mat
(Gemma's Mummy and Daddy)
