JDRF Blackmores Marathon
Story
I'm running this sunday in the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival 2016 and helping to raise much needed funds for JDRF.
I’m going to be sweating it out and doing my best to complete a gruelling course over the Harbour Bridge, around Sydney's CBD and finishing at the Opera House steps...
I am honoured to be a part of this amazing race and helping a great cause. I am running to raise awareness of Type 1 diabetes and raise some funds to donate to JDRF who are constantly trying to find a cure for Type 1 diabetes and improve the lives of Type 1 sufferers.
I am supporting JDRF as my daughter who is 11 has lived with Type 1 diabetes for the past 6 years.
I see the daily battles she has to live with controlling her blood sugars and up to 10 finger pricks a day she has to do to check her blood sugar levels.
I am hoping between now and race day to raise $20,000. In order to reach this total I'm reaching out to you, to give a small donation so I can reach this total.
I would be very appreciative of any contribution as it all adds up.
Thank you to those who have already generously shown their support in helping to make a difference!
