Two years ago in March, I lost my Dad (pictured) to cancer. I'm sure many of you reading this will have been, or know of someone who has been, affected by cancer. Your story may have had a wonderfully positive outcome, may be an ongoing battle, or may have concluded in the loss of someone dear. Whatever it may be, we can be certain of one thing - cancer isn't welcome here. So let's run cancer out of town!

I'm taking part in the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival 2016 and helping to raise much needed funds for the Cancer Council NSW.

I have never been a runner, and I have never been the sporty type. So of course I have signed myself up to run a half marathon! I will be drawing strength to finish this from my family, friends, colleagues, wonderful donors such as yourself, and, of course, my Dad, my inspiration for taking part in this.

This September, I’m going to be sweating it out and doing my best to complete a gruelling course over the Harbour Bridge, around Sydney's CBD and finishing at the Opera House steps... 

I am honoured to be a part of this amazing race and helping a great cause, and I’d really appreciate your support in this endeavour.
